Oh So Tech is a South African IT services provider based in Doornpoort, Pretoria, Gauteng. We offer managed IT services, on-site and remote technical support, repairs, cybersecurity solutions, networking, Wi-Fi setup, CCTV installations, data recovery, cloud services, hardware upgrades, and related IT consulting for homes, small to medium businesses (SMEs), and individuals in the Pretoria region and surrounding areas.
2. Use of the Website
- You must be at least 18 years old to use our Website and services.
- You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and not to engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair its functioning.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website without notice.
3. Services
- All services are provided subject to a quotation, service agreement, or work order.
- We provide on-site (mobile), remote, and workshop services in the Pretoria area. Travel outside our primary service area may incur additional fees.
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs) apply only where explicitly agreed in writing (e.g., for managed IT contracts with guaranteed response times).
- We will make every reasonable effort to resolve your IT issues, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime, complete resolution of all problems, or prevention of future issues, especially those caused by third-party software, hardware failures, or user actions.
4. Bookings, Quotes & Payments
- Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
- A deposit or full prepayment may be required before work begins, especially for new clients or large projects.
- Payments are due as per the invoice terms (usually within 7–14 days).
- We accept EFT, card payments, and other methods as agreed.
- Late payments may attract interest at 2% per month and may result in suspension of services.
- All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and exclude VAT unless stated.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations must be made in writing (email).
- Refunds and returns are governed by our separate Refund and Returns Policy.
- Once a service has commenced or been completed, it is generally non-refundable, except at our sole discretion or as required by law.
6. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information and full access to systems/devices when required.
- Back up your data before any service (we are not liable for data loss unless caused by our gross negligence).
- Follow our instructions and security recommendations.
- Ensure we have safe access during on-site visits.
- Not hold us liable for issues arising from your failure to maintain backups, apply updates, or follow advice.
7. Warranties and Liability
- Hardware supplied by us carries the manufacturer’s warranty only. We do not provide additional warranties unless explicitly stated.
- Labour warranties (e.g., on repairs) are typically 30–90 days and limited to the specific work performed.
- Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oh So Tech’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages (e.g., loss of profits, data, or business interruption).
- We are not responsible for third-party software licenses, hardware failures, cyber-attacks after handover, or issues caused by malware introduced by you or third parties.
8. Intellectual Property
- All content on our Website (text, images, logos, videos) is owned by Oh So Tech or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it without permission.
- Any custom software, configurations, or reports we create remain our intellectual property until full payment is received.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with POPIA.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend services immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or engage in abusive behaviour toward our staff.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pretoria, Gauteng.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with the new “Last updated” date. Continued use of our Website or services after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
