At Oh So Tech, we strive to deliver exceptional IT services and solutions to businesses and individuals in Gauteng and beyond. This policy outlines our approach to refunds, cancellations, and returns for our services and any associated products.

Services (e.g., IT Support, Repairs, Installations, Cybersecurity Audits, Managed IT Contracts, Custom Development, Training)

  • Most of our work is custom and performed on-site, remotely, or as part of a contract. Once a service has been completed and delivered (e.g., repair finished, system installed, audit report provided), it is generally non-refundable.
  • Pre-paid or deposit-based services: If you cancel before work begins or during an agreed stage, we may issue a partial refund minus any non-recoverable costs (e.g., time already allocated, vendor fees). Cancellations must be requested in writing via email to hello@ohsotech.com.
  • Dissatisfaction with completed services: If you’re not satisfied with the outcome, contact us within 7 days of completion. We will review the issue and, at our discretion, offer to re-perform the service at no extra charge or provide a partial refund (up to 50% of the service fee, excluding parts/materials). This does not apply to issues caused by client-provided information, misuse, or external factors after handover.
  • Managed IT contracts and ongoing support: Monthly/annual fees are non-refundable for services already rendered. Early termination may incur pro-rated charges or notice periods as per your agreement/SLA.

Hardware Parts and Products (if supplied by us)

  • In cases where we supply and install hardware components (e.g., RAM, SSD, peripherals, or custom PC builds), parts carry the manufacturer’s warranty (typically 1–3 years). We do not offer our own returns beyond manufacturer terms.
  • Defective parts: If a part fails within the manufacturer’s warranty period due to manufacturing defects (not misuse or damage), we will assist with the warranty claim. You may need to ship the item (at your cost) to us or the manufacturer. We do not accept returns for change-of-mind on installed/used parts.
  • Unopened, unused parts: Eligible for return within 14 days of purchase if still in original packaging and accompanied by proof of purchase. A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply. Shipping costs for returns are your responsibility and non-refundable.

Digital Products and Deliverables (e.g., Custom Software, Reports, Configurations)

  • Digital items such as custom scripts, audit reports, configured backups, or software setups are non-refundable once delivered and access provided.
  • If issues arise due to our error, we will correct them at no charge within a reasonable period.

Exchanges

  • We only replace defective hardware parts under manufacturer warranty. For service-related issues, we aim to resolve through rework rather than exchange.

Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 10–14 business days after we receive and inspect any returned items (if applicable) or confirm the issue.
  • We will notify you by email (hello@ohsotech.com) once your refund is approved or if more information is needed.

Late or Missing Refunds

  • Check your bank/credit card statement first—it may take a few days to post.
  • Contact your bank or card issuer if the refund doesn’t appear.
  • If still unresolved, email us at hello@ohsotech.com with your order/service details.

Shipping for Returns (Rare – Hardware/Parts Only)

  • Mail any eligible returns to: [Your Physical Address – e.g., Doornpoort, Pretoria, if you have a return point; otherwise: “Contact us first for instructions – we are a mobile service and will arrange collection where possible.”]
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs, which are non-refundable. We recommend tracked/insured shipping for valuable items—we are not liable for items lost in transit.
  • Original shipping fees are not refunded.

Gifts

  • If a service or product was purchased as a gift, refunds/credits will be issued to the original purchaser. We do not disclose return details to the recipient unless requested.
